2013 eAsia Awards

'e-ASIA' Awards is carried out at the same time of annual plenary every two years administrated by the relevant AFACT host member, starting in 2003. The contest has been conducted, afterwards, in the year of 2004, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015.The event aims at promoting the achievement of AFACT member countries/economies in the development of trade facilitation, electronic business policies and practices, and initiatives for bridging digital divide in the Asia Pacific Region. The purpose of the e-ASIA Awards is to recognize the significance and great effort made within AFACT community and to encourage exchange of best practices. The event also intends to develop the mutual understanding and experience sharing between member countries/economies by displaying the shortlisted projects in the e-ASIA Awards Exhibition. There are four categories of e-ASIA Awards. (1) Trade Facilitation (2) eBusiness in Public Sector (3)eBusiness in Private Sector (4)Bridging Digital Divide:

The e-ASIA Awards are administrated by the Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT). The event aims at promoting the achievement of AFACT member countries/economies in the development of trade facilitation, electronic business policies and activities, and initiatives for bridging digital divide in the Asia Pacific Region. The purpose of the e-ASIA Award is to recognize the significance and great effort made within AFACT community and to encourage exchange of best practices. The event also intends to develop the mutual understanding and experience sharing between member countries/economies by displaying the shortlisted projects in the e-ASIA Award Exhibition. The awarded project organizations can also play a role of consultant or trainer to be invited to some AFACT member countries/economies where the HoDs deem it valuable to introduce the best practices to their relevant governmental agencies or private sectors.
