‘eASIA’ Awards is carried out at the same time of annual plenary every two years administrated by the relevant AFACT host member, starting in 2003. The contest has been conducted, afterwards, in the year of 2004, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015.The event aims at promoting the achievement of AFACT member countries/economies in the development of trade facilitation, electronic business policies and practices, and initiatives for bridging digital divide in the Asia Pacific Region.
AFACT will organize eASIA Awards in 2023 with Chinese Taipei as the Host. To cope with the trends of digitalization and circular economy, 2023 eASIA Awards comprises three categories, namely: (1) Smart Governance & Management; (2) Digital Transformation for SMEs; and (3) Sustainability & Circular Economy, meaning to provide a more efficient channel to demonstrate the accomplishments of data-driven value creation and digital transformation via public-private partnership realized by open data utilization.
AFACT Members are welcome to submit outstanding projects to the Permanent Secretariat via email: afact.asia@gmail.com or wendyyang@iii.org.tw by October 15 for preliminary evaluation.
The Online evaluation, to be conducted by the Awards Evaluation Committee, will be organized by October 27 to determine the six Finalist Projects (two projects in each category). The six Finalist Projects will then be invited to join the Final Evaluation which will take place physically in conjunction with the Awards Ceremony alongside the 41st AFACT Plenary Meeting in Taipei City on December 1, 2023.
